I’m sorry but Sammy is a bona fide 5*. If his height and wingspan is the only reason you are keeping him from 5* then your system is broke. He’s got the speed and strength and weight. He’s also got the film to back it up.

Going way way back, Lawrence Taylor had a respectable NFL career at OLB at 6’ 2”.
Rivals is the ‘me too’ recruiting service. They see what the others do, and to which team a recruit pledges before their sage ‘analysts’ come up with revised rankings.
Rivals is a fraud, but my addiction to college football keeps me engaged nevertheless.
It’s time to quit doing crack.

How is Sammy Brown not an unanimous 5* across the board. Idk what it is about Rivals, but it seems like it's always them.

On the bright side, every one of the Coots commits dropped like a stack of rocks. Pringle dropped out of the top 50, 2 others dropped out of the top 150. They were all fired up about a top 10...possibly top 5 class...yet there they are at 20th. While we sit 8th in Rivals and 247

Some say they like for kids to camp with them or they won’t rate them high. Idk. I do know rivals is definitely more picky the the others. Christian Wilkins earned his 5th star late, Peter woods earned his 5* late, there were a few more that I can’t think of right this minute.

… regardless of how these recruiting sites decide to move them up or down their arbitrary rating scale.
If Sammy is awarded another star we fans will celebrate, but his talent and ability will not have changed. Same for Wesco or any of our recruits.

Rivals used to be the industry leader in recruiting. The national guys have fallen way off. From a Clemson perspective Larry Williams, Paul Strelow, and Cris Ard is the only reason I pay attention to that network anymore.
