It's exactly these types of accolades that are a prime example of the pundits that think Clemson is on the decline. It's like they are ignoring their own praise. The reason Riley is the most impacted hire and the #1 assistant coach in the nation is that he is really good. They want to give props to the hire, but they aren't actually considering the fact that how good he is is going to make Clemson much better. It kind of shows how dumb they are, imo.

It isn't dumb, it's showing they're not going to give Clemson or Dabo it's due props even when it's in their face. A lot of our own will argue that Clemson isn't hated bc of Dabo, but that is total BS bc, when Dabo was entering big time college FB and winning, he was also one of the newest HC hires with the least experience and winning championship at little ole Clemson, a hard core FB school that they refused to give credit to even after Dabo won his first NC at Clemson, and Dabo and Clemson still don't get it's due credit after he has won 2 NC at Clemson as a first time HC starting out at Clemson.

Another reason Riley will be most impactful is because Dabo (who was the most impactful hire before this and who hired Chad Morris, Brent Venables, Chad Morris and a slew of other coaches) and the Clemson leadership made long lasting, ensuring investments and key decisions that have built built a championship caliber program from and above average program that is here to stay. This program, thanks to Dabo and the leadership, evolves to win!
Riley looked at the assets and talent at Clemson and knew the cupboard was full at Clemson and that would allow him to make an immediate impact here. You can credit that to Dabo’s leadership and the Clemson leadership over the past 20 years at least! Then Dabo hires all these great people. Give the Dabo some credit! If not for Dabo, Riley wouldn’t have this great opportunity to show out!
So when Clemson shocks the college football Clemson haters this year and next, just remind them that they owe homage to Dabo and little ole Clemson for ever doubting them and their approach to building a winning culture in life!

He hasn’t done anything to prove it yet, let’s award him after we beat UGA for another National Championship!

We have lost national titles with extraordinary offenses. I'm not holding him to that standard. I am merely saying, if the media thinks he is as good as they say, they shouldn't be calling for FSU to pass us and for us to go 8-4 and stupid stuff like that.
