How so? Clemson has been growing really fast since Dabo became HC and bringing championship quality FB to Clemson, and along with that a lot of parking space has been taken away for newer bigger athletic compounds, and the best way for making up for parking area lost, is with multitier parking garages. I'm surprised that it's taken so long for this project to start....

How much do you think those things cost? Want to go cheap with more sand than concrete?

Haven’t priced one in a while, but I guess with inflation that’s reasonable.

Well, this was 2 years ago in Calgary.. So this thing should be one of a kind, or someone is getting seriously ripped off. The d a m n thing going to be paved in real gold or something. Is this something @spud talked you into.

Based on the cross streets it would be at C2 parking lot, which would qualify as student parking. I am assuming the reference to the Visitor Center is wrong. They just need to design it so tailgating is allowed.

That sometimes happens on the dark side of the moon. By the way, what is China up to with spending so much time out of sight on the dark side of the moon?

SEC schools travel much better than ACC schools in football. Gotta get ready with more parking for our move.

One article I read noted something like 1200 lots. Does that imply 1200 parking spots? It also said a walking bridge to Fernow St is planned. This sounds like pretty big mult-level structure. It mentions the new Almuni/Visitor center, but I think they just slipped that into the press release to promote it. Isn’t this garage location a pretty fair distance away from the Alumni bldg?

I know it had to happen sooner or later and is much needed, but it seems like maybe this is one of the many turning points we have seen which changes "Dear Old Clemson" forever.

Not, it said that it will be funded through higher education bonds, and that has nothing to do with athletic funds or college sports.

Sounds like lot 10 to me. Wonder how much of it is going to be reserved for EVs….. After all, we are talking about state funds in a University setting. That will certainly drive that price up too.
