I always wonder why someone would say "that's the offer I was waiting for" and then say there are no frontrunners, or, something to that effect.

I hope someone decommits from another school and comes to Clemson at this point. There aren’t many options left.

Hopefully Daba and Austin can pull a rabbit out of a hat. We have missed on a bunch of OL prospects this recruiting cycle. Probably won't hurt us to bad next year, but in 2 or 3 years we will feel it.

Like all true Tiger fans, I love that Austin played for our Tigers, and during his time as a Tiger O lineman he became a pretty good O lineman for our Tigers during his playing time.
I believe that with time Austin will become one of the premier O Line coaches in the country, but until he can claim that title, I think he is going to need some help with recruiting of some of the top O line recruits in the country bc, this far into his coaching career, he has failed with getting those types of O lineman to commit to Clemson. And I know that I can't be the only Tiger fan that is really concerned about his inability of getting top O lineman to commit to our Clemson Tigers...
I don't know if anybody has actually noticed but, we have as many walk on O Lineman as we have scholarship O Lineman, and IMO, that can't be a very good pill to swallow!!!

class for FR this season? We only know of 1 lineman who is definitely leaving after this season- Putnam. The rest have eligibility. Th number of walkon lineman is irrelevant - most are practice players or special teams. Occasionally we may have one that breaks through and sees the field but by that point they have typically been given a scholly. There is no room on our roster to do that.

He had a great class last year and the year before. This year has been a struggle getting good OL prospects to commit. I think things change once people see our offense. Maybe Dabo may need to use the portal next season for that position or maybe we flirt with some committed linemen from other schools.

If we do not address the misses on OL recruits soon, it is…

Gonna be a death knell for this team. Games are won and lost in the trenches. If you do not have an elite O and D line, then you can forget about it.

That's what it takes to win championships and I do believe that, but playing in the ACC we should get to our share of playoff games, but unless our O Line recruiting gets much better, the playoffs will be where our season will end, it sucks but it's the truth. Somehow, Austin needs to start getting these elite O Lineman to commit....
