I don’t know why people have such animus for Lunardi. 90% of brackets on Bracket Matrix still say we’re out.

Bracketology is attempting to pick what will happen - not what you want or think should happen. And most of these folks listed on bracket matrix are very good at picking the field. The competition is really over getting seedings right.

Saying we're out is one thing. Saying we are out and NC State is in is a whole 'nother thing.
They are taking all these resume related metrics to rank teams. A single head to head may not mean one team is better than another. Two pretty much does. Three blowouts is the clearest indicators of all indicators one team is better than the other.

Discussions of Clemson v NC State will get very interesting. When we lost to Loyola-C I believe I made a comment along the line of “Clemson will now set the cut line for the ACC”. I wouldn’t be shocked if the ACC only got 4 bids and NC State and Clemson got left out. But the folks filling out these brackets don’t have an agenda - they’re trying to pick the field correctly. Maybe their trying to guess the committees agenda. Over 300 teams played over 4500 games. While the NC State / Clemson situation jumps out at us, you can start chasing a lot of rabbit holes if you pay too much attention to individual matchups. I think Clemson is very much in the mix. We should probably put it away with a win tonight.

If they’re truly trying to pick the field accurately, but do not see Clemson as an NCAA Tournament team, then they didn’t try hard enough. There’s no question Clemson is one of the best 34 “at large teams” in America. However, as I said previously, when they win the ACC Tournament, none of this will matter.

Why does everyone just mention Lunardi? There are dozens and dozens of these and almost ALL of them have us out. In fact, 100% had us out until last night.

True. But "Clemson out" is not a Lunardi thing. He isn't treating our resume any differently than 90% of all the other "bracket experts".

people bring up that we are bad because of our bad losses..but then in the same sentence talk up nc state because they dont have any bad losses...by their logic wouldnt they have 3 bad losses considering they lost to us and got destroyed by us twice?

They say we don't belong in the tournament, but we're still a Quad 1 team. Losing to Clemson is much more forgivable than losing to teams like Louisville, Loyola Chicago, and UofSC.

I understand that, but how do we get to be a quad 1 team and not belong in the tournament? We have at least 6 wins over teams who are slotted to be in the tournament (3XNCST, Duke, @ Pitt, and Penn State). Yes 4 of the losses were WTFs, but at what point does quality wins outweigh suspect losses?

The Milwaukee Bucks comment is silly. We've only beaten one team (#24 Duke) that was ranked in the top 25 when we played them. We lost to #25 Iowa, #23 Miami, and #13 Virginia.

Any day of the week. Especially when it involves numbers and stats
Some on here will say being 90% accurate picking the ncaa field is good, but I think that’s horrible.
You know 90% of the teams that are going to make it and he could miss 100% of the bubble teams and still get it wrong
