PGA/LPGA
@ The Grant Thornton Invitational being played A the TIBURÓN GOLF CLUB in NAPLES, FLORIDA on DEC 8 - 10, 2023 . . .
Lucas Glover will team up with Leona Macguire, the 29 yr old Irish Rookie for this Event. Sixteen “Teams” will be competing..

FORMAT:
The Grant Thornton Invitational will be contested over three rounds and consist of 18 holes of Scramble, 18 holes of Foursomes (Alternate Shot) and 18 holes of Modified Four-Ball.

Day 1 - Scramble . . . Friday, December 8
Each player hits a tee shot and then the team selects the ball to be used for the next stroke. From there, both players hit their next shots from that spot. This process continues until the ball is holed.

Day 2 - Foursomes (Alternate Shot) . . . Saturday, December 9
Each player on a team alternate hitting shots with the same ball until the ball is holed. One player tees off on the odd-numbered holes, and the other tees off on the even-numbered holes.

Day 3 - Modified Four-Ball . . . Sunday, December 10
Both players tee off, and then they switch balls for their second shots and play that same ball until it is holed. The lower score of the partners is then counted as the team score for the hole.

Here’s the Link to follow Lucas and Leona: (Their Tee Time = 9:25am)

He is going to have his own radio show on Sirius XM on the PGA Tour Radio channel. It will be on at 8:00 pm every Thursday night with the first show being tonight. It will be a one hour show, and I assume he will have guests.

Let me know how it is. I have Sirius, but I don’t have that channel. Maybe I’ll need to add it.

Turk and Kyle are both listed in the LIV promo qualifier 8th thru 10th. 60 players on day 1, top 20 go to day 2 and join nine others that had a day 1 bye. Final 29 battle it out in a 36-hole tourney and the TOP THREE get slots in LIV for 2024.

Wow, y'all had me there for a while. I was thinking Kyle Cottam. Glad it's Kyle Stanley. Young fella needs to keep his family fed.

In the meantime, I think our other Kyle is being well fed. Looks like he's enjoying their honeymoon. I'm too old to remember them days, but I'm sure you young whipersnappers still teeing it up do. See attached.

Yes, sorry I should have said Kyle Stanley. Unfortunately, Kyle S. was 1 stroke off the top 20 and tied for 30th while Turk was a couple strokes further behind at 50th so neither advance.
