And largely by grown men attorneys ... not by current college athletes.
I've loved college sports for years, but I'm fine with shutting it all down for a group of ambulance chasing lawyers and "one and done" punks who don't care about an education or any university.
Of course, that will not happen as there's way too much TV money to slow the gravy train.

First, Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS opinion was total nonsense and any economics teacher could explain it to them. A high school economics teacher could explain. There is no free market for college athletes. Their options are slinging crack, selling pot, working at McDonald’s, a.k.a. a minimum wage job coming out of high school, or paying their own way through college which they are currently getting for free which is going to bring their entire family out of poverty in the form of a college degree. Only 2%, actually less than 2%, make it to the NFL. And the average NFL career is five years. And many if not most NFL and NBA players are bankrupt 5 to 10 years after they stop playing . Most colleges would have almost no black students if it were not for athletic scholarships. What they’re asking for because a few people make a little bit of money is going to end up having schools dropping programs which means thousands of black kids that have brought their families out of poverty because of a free college education will now get to be cashiers at McDonald’s or sell drugs or go learn a trade. because they don’t have any skills that are valuable on the free market and a free college education is no longer an option.. Because there is no free market for college athletes.
The whole foundation of their argument is patently false!
Sports with predominantly white athletes are participating in ways that sports with predominantly black athletes are not?
Only two sports generate positive revenues. Football and men’s basketball. That money gets re-distributed to support all the other athletic programs. I thought Democrats and progressives supported wealth redistribution?
What white sports are they talking about? Lacrosse? Soccer? Baseball? Tennis? Rowing? Golf?
First, no one puts a gun to a kids head and says you must play basketball or football instead of tennis or baseball or golf or soccer. That’s the free market. They willingly chose which sports they wanted to play.
Second, have they seen their facilities compared to these other sports? Those other athletes are getting nowhere near the attention, the facilities, the support, and all the other things that basketball players and football players get.
This entire thing is predicated on identity politics and total BS!
But of course they will probably win and College athletics as we have known it will end and thousands of black kids will no longer get a free college education because these programs and scholarships will be gone and the black community will sink even further and the wealth disparity will get even greater, but hey at least they won in court! Because they probably will win because of feelings and emotions and propaganda and because we now live in a world where you are a victim today because of something that happened to your great great grandfather. Man I wish me and my Irish and Italian relatives could find a way to get rich off of our victimhood over the centuries!

Race is in everything now. They need to address the lack of white players in basketball at the same time. Civil rights is for everyone, not just minorities but that seems to be changing.

Why don’t you tell me what I got wrong. That’s what my haters on here never do. Because I’m not wrong. Just like during Covid all the things I was saying two years ago have now been proven. But you idiots are still brainwashed by the government and say oh no you weren’t right the science changed. No. The science is exactly the same. What changed is things that people knew 18 months ago and two years ago have finally been proven wrong to the point where only idiots like you are still denying the truth.
