Offensively, #23 had a great ball game, he gets player of the game in my book. The offensive line was shaky in the first half but they got it together. Tajh got knocked around a bit, hopefully our equipment staff can tighten his helmet up for Ball State next week but he had a solid game. DeAndre Hopkins had a good ball game, what a great catch in the back of the endzone. Oh and how many people thought Rod McDowell would score Clemson's first TD of the season? We really need to work on catching the ball this week, we did drop some balls and we had some penalties, this is all correctable. If we don't have those mistakes, we win this game by a bit more. It's all just a part of the 1st game
On defense, we bended but didn't break, I wish we would've gotten some 3-and-outs instead of letting them get 3 points. Our secondary did give up some big plays, passing and rushing. Once again, this is all just a part of the first game, you will have these miscues which are correctable.
Overall, a good first game and hopefully we can get to 2-0 next Saturday against Ball State. It feels good to win in Atlanta!
