Those of you that think the moral thing to do for PSU

is for the NCAA to do nothing and let the cops handle it, please look the other way as Mark Emmert(Pres.) rapes that program.

I'm sure you'll feel better once you ignore it for a decade or so. I believe Paterno had the same philosophy.

This isn't a matter of looking the other way or defending PSU or even protecting their athletics. There aren't enough words to describe how wrong everything is and the way that school completely failed. The discussion about ncaa involvement is in regards to protecting all other schools. We all want to take steps to ensure that something like this never ever happens again, but by giving the ncaa the power to step outside of its lane and do things in this manner you are giving them absolute power over all affiliated universities.

I'd much rather see the US gov't punish the individuals, the victims sue the school, and the NCAA punish the program.


I'd hate to ever see a US court judge say "It is my decision that Penn State get a 7 year bowl ban and a 2 year TV ban"

The NCAA is the only organization that can do this without overstepping their powers.


And you just said this is about protecting university athletic programs not anything else... Paterno approves of this message.
