Needs to figure out the early innings … we have made a habit of playing absolutely terrible the first few innings of every game here lately it seems… playing catch up and that may work against uncg, Pitt, etc. … but it’ll get us put out early in the tourney. I don’t understand if it’s a mental thing just not being ready to play or what but it’s getting old and it’s gonna bite us if we don’t figure it out. Maybe the cuifo injury hurt this team way more than we anticipated.

Agree I never get down on this team bc of the fight they show, I’m just saying this needs to stop before we play better teams with an actual bullpen and scoring runs becomes tougher… trust me I know it’s baseball but the self inflicted runs we give up are hurting us early.

I’m starting to think the cuifo loss was a bigger deal than we thought , and maybe that’ll get better with a few weeks but Hindy was playing a really good first and it allowed Obertop to stay behind the plate, and still play Jarrell some to give him a break. Just seems like we were better defensively and maybe he was a bigger leader than we thought with cuifo.

Yes losing Cuifo is huge...Now that scrub Jarrell has to take the majority of the starts behind the plate.

I’m def not giving up on Jarrell I mean he’s only a soph and shows flashes… but this team is better with cuifo in the lineup at SS and Hindy at first with Obertop behind the plate… purify is gonna be a star he’s just playing a lot like a fresh sometimes but the lineup is so much diff with mount cuifo and his leadership, when is Taylor supposed to be back
