and Miami just isn't very good. But although Duke failed to hold on against AZst, they took a team that was ranked as high as 6th late in the season, to the wire. Duke, who just barely sniffed the top 25 all year, looked pretty good. They just need to learn how to close the deal.

clemchem: Spot on. Duke is a joke. Beat up on all the weakies and can't beat anyone with creds. BC is disgraceful. Apparently they don't raise kickers in the North. Miami band their dumb coach are clueless. Just what have these new teams in the ACC brought us? Embarrassment, lousy football and a bunch of punks as in the Cuse! What a joke.

The only bad loss was UNC.
Duke played a very good Arizona St. team and almost won.
BC's true freshman kicker lost the game for them. They led pretty much the entire way.
I think bowl records are a little overrated and don't mean much anyway, except for maybe the big games like the Orange Bowl and playoffs.
If Oklahoma beats us tomorrow without Watson it doesn't mean a thing for us or the ACC.
