Its truly impossible to find that kinda personality much less he be available for D Coordinator position. That mindset was perfect for a defense too. I'm just glad he hung around for 10 years. I expected him to be here about 3 or 4.

But man it sure was nice not having to worry about whether our defense was going to be prepared and ready to play. I think Goodwin has done a pretty good job too so its not a blight on his record but BV was special and impossible to replace.

Goodwin said not long after having the DC job, I'm not like BV getting that excited, well you best get that way bc that is what it takes to win at the highest level. If a coach doesn't have fire in his belly for the game and for the positions he coaches, he will never be great!!!!!!!

That's how you win two national championship in a 3 year period, It takes coaches like that. Most of the coaches we have right now are a dime a dozen and not qualified to carry BV's jock strap!!!
