I bet all the SEC coaches would be a little concerned with that hire!

I still say CLK is waiting for Saban to retire and moves on to Bama when that happens.

But that’s just me!

The Jimmy Sexton factor.

Regardless of where Kiffin coaches next year, he will be an even richer man than he is today. Sexton is a master at getting great contracts for his clients.

I can see two scenarios working out.

1. Ole Miss and Auburn get into a bidding war for Kiffin. Auburn wins, paying Kiffin 10 million per year.

OR

2. Ole Miss and Auburn get into a bidding war for Kiffin. Ole Miss wins, paying Kiffin 9 million per year. And, Auburn ends up getting Hugh Freeze (also a client of Jimmy Sexton) for "only" 6 million per year.

Either way both coaches will get nice pay raises and Sexton will earn at least a million per year for himself.

I don’t see a huge advantage in moving to Auburn. Ole Miss is better than Auburn. Kiffen is a potential Ole Miss GOAT. At Auburn he would end up fired in disgrace after a few years (like everybody else). Where’s the up side?

If he does jump, I hope Ole Miss gets Prime Time and continues to beat Auburn.
