... because the only fighting was on their sideline. I found it laughable that the sports media talked about an eleven minute brawl when only five minutes involved any Clemson players. The last half of it was on the Carolina bench. As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a bunch of marons!"

school. They have their grads all over the country which is the reason you see the Clowney overhype machine and the constant Clemson bashing.
That's why after the brawl the media didnt report that Syvelle Newton and some of his thug buddies instigated it from the very beginning when they were taunting us at the bottom of the Hill. The media made it look like it was started by both equally. Tough to beat the media, just ask Romney

the thing that sickens me so is that the picture that is always used to discuss the fight is the one of kelly being held back from kicking a player who was covering his head crying like a little biotch......no one asks why the usuc player was without the helmet....it was because he took it off to swing it at clem players, yet he was made out nationally to be the victim with us as the thugs.......but in afterthought.....usuc played us big time.....holtz didnt want to coach their bowl game because he was running from the ncaa, spur didnt want to coach because he wanted to get a staff in place......so how to get out of a bowl and embarrass clemson at the same time....START A FIGHT.....and cow us into giving up our bowl........we lost in every level.....i never really gave usuc much thought until after all that played out......my hatred for them started with that game........nuke the sobs.

I place a large part of the blame on the refs. They NEVER had control of the game. The hits kept getting later and later and you could tell it was likely to eventually boil over.

...but.....it was the USC players that started it, with the taunting at the bottom of the hill, and it was Lou Holtz who allowed it, since he couldn't stop, nor did he punish, the players who instigated it. That's where the *real* blame is at...
