Agreed... and this time Acuna Jr. will be front and center as he did not play in 2021.
If he can put a run together in the postseason much like he did during the 162 game regular season, then we are talking about 1 of the greatest seasons of all time.
As a baseball purist and historian, his 2023 season stacks up with the best ever.
Considering how the analytics and game-play has changed, for Acuna Jr. to still be able to achieve:
.340 average
217 hits
150 runs
106 RBI (leadoff hitter record)
73 steals (rule changes did help him achieve this mark, but he still led MLB in steals)
.416 OBP
41 home runs
1.012 OPS
Another huge stat that is uncommon among most athletes in 2023, played in 159 games!!

Betts had 107 RBI and bats leadoff.
Both had tremendous seasons, although I do think the SB should be devalued a bit this year.
Mookie playing 2B, SS and RF is ridiculous.

Pitching will have to improve for the Braves to win the World Series. I’m hoping they can pull it off but the bullpen really isn’t in great shape

Yes pitching has been average at best, their bats will have to carry them.

I think they win it if their pitching holds up, but baseball is a funny sport. The best team doesn’t always win (more often than in most of the other sports).

Who you want? Phillies or Marlins? Can’t deal with Bryce Harper knocking the Braves out of the playoffs again and he’s killed the Braves while with the Nationals and Phillies. My 2 most hated teams have always been the Phillies and Mets but I believe we’re going to see the Phillies again. Baseball is crazy in that you can be the best team in baseball for 162 games yet catch a brief cold streak for a week in October and be out.

in the Phillies playoff hopes but messed around and lost 2 of 3 after taking 3 of 4 earlier in September. I know they had already clinched the Division and Snit was giving some people some time off to rest-up for the playoff run, but dang. I would really liked to have seen Philly get knocked out.
