The day the schools signed the GOR the conference was doomed. I cannot believe Clemson signed this and can’t believe they voted for Swofford as commissioner. He buried the ACC!

Clemets signed that horrible deal

And then said he was proud to sign it. He should be held responsible.

Again, this may have more to do with ESPN than the ACC…

…how can the ACC NOT want to RE-NEGOTIATE the media contract with ESPN?

It would mean MORE MONEY for the ACC management. If they take care of their member institutions then, the money should flow to the top brass of the conference.

My conclusion is that ESPN is in the catbird’s seat here having gotten the ACC to sign this GOR, and now, ESPN has NO REASONS to allow the ACC to get out of this contract.

From what I have heard, it seems like the only option that the ACC would have, would be to DISBAND the conference altogether, and allow it’s member institutions to RE-FORM a completely NEW conference that may or may NOT have the same membership.

However, in the case above, the ACC management is COMPLETELY screwed out of their compensation, so I don’t this this is going to happen.

iTiger, Clemson and FSU is as much to blame as anyone. They signed the deal and liked it so much they signed it twice. What's that old saying - fool me once shame on you.....fool me twice shame on me.

ESPN is broke. Why would they offer to pay the ACC more money when they know the members are trapped?
