How much of a boost do you think a win against LSU in the..

Chick-Fi-la peach milkshake bowl would give us in recruiting. It's obvious the SEC uses negative recruiting against us routinely...plays in weak ACC....can't win big games...etc. Curious what folks think.

really big boost. Would you rather play at LSU and have a small chance of making a BCS bowl, or at Clemson where you beat FSU and you win the conference? THrow in playing NotreDame in upcoming years, i think Clemson would benefit a lot with recruiting from beating LSU

I doubt seriously LSU must stoop to bad mouthing any school during recruiting much less Clemson who rarely hit our radar... When you say the SEC is bad-mouthing Clemson you are over-stating your importance to 90% of the SEC...

this year? And let's see...we just found out that their low-life head coach was doing it to try to flip Demarcus Robinson. I'm sure ol hat has to be telling Deshaun something to try to pry him away from Clemson. What you think he's gonna say..."Deshaun we friggin want you to play at LSU 'cause we friggin have the most boring offensive scheme in the country and we'll let you throw the ball 12 times a game if you come here!" Get real dude...Les is saying the same thing we found out the low-life Gators are saying..."the ACC is gonna get left out of the national championship hunt in the new playoff system...you won't make it to the NFL if you go to Clemson"..yada yada BTW - Scott Pagano told me to say "Hi." Yeah we don't recruit the same players so it's anon-issue...right?

Stating the obvious and or the truth

Is not bad-mouthing a conference. You jus sound butthurt. The ACC is not a strong conference right now...look at the lack of respect Fla st rec'd for their season.. The computers killed them because the ACC is weak. Pointing out that to a recruit is just telling them the truth. Saying LSU's offense is basic and has struggled at times is the truth...not playing dirty.
The reason SEC fans have such pride in the conference and root for fellow SEC teams against OOC opponents is that they recognize how important that credibility is that you automatically get for being in what is considered the best/toughest conference. No other 1 loss team stood a chance of making the BCS NC over Bama because they are from the SEC. The ACC teams will always be at an inherent disadvantage until the perception of the conference changes.

like Muschamp did that the ACC is soon to be totally out of the 4 team playoff is just dishonest. But your point that the ACC is VERY unlikely to get a 1 loss team in is spot on. Your point that the ACC is weak is spot on. but if you think for a moment that recruiting is not a filthy business...you are very sheltered down there in the bayou.
Relative to getting to the 4 team playoff I ask you...which is easier to do?
1- Go throught the SEC and finish with one loss...OR 2- Go through the ACC undefeated
I don't think you will argue for a minute that 1 is easier than 2? Also, would you argue that FSU (or Clemson) would be left out of the 4 team playoff if they go undefeated. It ain't happening.

a 1 loss FSU or Clemson would've been in this year

Same with GT, Miami, and maybe NC St. and UNC. All of those teams played a tough schedule in and out of conference.

I am sorry to say, but you have no credible or reliable information as to what ###### Muschump told Robinson. I know Demarcus Robinson and I've watched him play since his freshman year at Peach County. People seem to be forgetting that he is a #### KID and he has been thrusted into "grown folks" business. DRob stuck to his word and he is coming to Clemson. Who cares what Muschump said or thinks about the situation.

You aren't giving these kids enough credit. I think they understand the landscape of college football enough to where a blatant lie about conferences can be figured out pretty quick. I also think once coaches reach a certain level their program's momentum allows them to treat recruits with integrity because they are the sought after schools in the country (Bama, USC, OR, LSU, TX). Is it the truth? I am not sure but it is what I choose to believe. I don't think a coach like les or Saban need to run down other schools to get great recruits.

the ACC being weak this year doesn't mean it is every year

Had they had the same record last year, they'd have been in the top 10. 2 loss teams should not be in the top 4, either way, and I don't think a 1 loss ACC team would be left out of a 4 team playoff anyway. It's not really a problem.

I disagree. I could see an 1 loss ACC team get left out very easily... In fact, a 1 loss ACC team would have been left out this year if the playoff was in place...

Finally, a sane SEC fan. This post has made the most sense and logic out of any "SEC LOVE THEORY" I have ever heard. Pretty spot on with this post here my friend. This coming from a Clemson fan.

You Clemson fans have so many excuses for your mediocre program. "Ohhhhh no, another coach might have (although you have no way of knowing) said mean things about us." Boo freaking hoo! Hire a real coach, get in a real conference, and figure out how to beat USC if you want the opportunity to win big.
