I think the only known contenders left are the panthers and eagles (and maybe the Bucs), of those who've expressed interest. You have to wonder though will he have lost some of that competitive fire after going through all this. But at the same time it could also motivate him.

He might be rusty but he will never lose the competitive fire! He should be healthy for a long career too.

He’ll go to a team he’s not running for his life play after play!

The team that gets him will be so happy to have him. Deshaun is an awesome QB that has “it”.

Fell out with the Panthers. The whole Richardson deal seemed off. Not sure on this Tepper guy and they seem to have never had anyone from Clemson. If so I cannot remember them. Cam is a whole other issue. When DW went out started watching the Buffalo QB. He is fun to watch. Wish we had a few Tigers on that team as well.

Just those pesky details of DW's contract with the Texans. It runs through 2025 at 32 million per year. So look at the Russell Wilson deal. What did it take for the Broncos to get him? That would be 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, a fifth round pick, and 3 additional players. This is roughly what the Texans will need to to let their franchise QB move along. Do the Panthers have this this to give? I'm guessing if he's still eligible to to play and get paid next year it will be for the Texans.

They are paying him and won't play him. so they are hurting themselves by not trading him.

I doubt he will go for what Russell Wilson brought.

Does Watson have a no trade clause he'd have to waive?

But the Panthers don't have the draft capital or roster assets to get it done, front office & Rhule would likely eph it up even if we did. They're almost as bad as BOB, the WOAT GMs, was.
