Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross were our "homeruns threats"

Higgins is in the pros now and with Ross out for the season, who is the new homerun threat? Higgins and Ross were both like 6'5" approximately. Its gotta be Ladson who steps up big time.

This is just a simple observation that two of our best receivers recently won’t be with us this season, no attempt to do any harm, I promise... just was wanting to get some insight on who people thought would step up. Ladson is a 5 Star Right ?

Wait all we are counting are 5* or players above 6'4?
Powell, Rodgers, Ladson, Ngata, Williams I think we will be okay.

Think you meant to say "home-run" threat

Higgins and Ross are both 6'4 btw.
I suspect Clemson will lean on the usual 4* and 5* suspects from within the program. With all of the WR, RB, and TE talent on campus nobody needs to worry. Clemson lost Mike Williams for the season back in 2015-2016 when it had comparatively less offensive talent and almost won the NC.
Powell, Ngata, Ladson, EJ Williams, and Rodgers are all capable of "super-star" WR status. I'd be surprised if Ladson and Ngata don't take big leaps forward, and if Amari Rodgers doesn't have a big-time-season. If Powell plays as well as advertised this past spring he'll be a major contributor. They love EJ Williams and think he has a really high ceiling. They're all studs.

I’m not too worried about it just yet. It would be no different than if Ross happened to go down injured early in the season. However at least we have time (assuming football is a go) to get the right guys more practice time. Essentially they will have no choice but to step up or find themselves on the bench for someone who is.

Ok great, thanks, that’s all I was asking.
Ngata will contribute a lot too, IMO.

Don't forget Overton, who is also gone. But then there's TL, LJD, and ETN. Mellusi wasn't all that bad as a homerun guy. And then there's that Rodgers guy, who will light you up. I guess we need to just mail in the season if that's all we have.

Ngata is a home run threat in the same mold as Ross and Higgins in that he is big, physical and should be able to "out-rebound" guys down the field.
Ladson, on the other hand, is definitely faster than both guys. Though not small for his position, he is more of a burner type of WR.
Problem is neither guy has proven they are ready to be full-time starters on a championship caliber team.
In spring practice, EJ Williams was said to be a faster version of Ross.
We need 2 of these 3 to be big time. Let's see what happens.
I think we are all very comfortable with Amari in the slot. He should go up a level this year.
The offense will be a work in progress. So much depends on unproven WRs stepping up.
