@NC State - tailgate question

Headed to NC State game in a couple weeks with family. Want to snag a good tailgate spot. Info is hard to find on where the good spots are. Seems that you can just show up and pay to park, but does anyone have any good insight on areas to park? We want to hang out for a few hrs prior to game, be close to the stadium and around other Clemson fans. I don't mind paying up for a good spot. Thanks and Go Tigers!

Since the fairgrounds are closed to public due to state fair being there, tailgating and pkg. close to stadium is going to be limited.

And one piece of general advice for that place:
Come in an unmarked car. Do not leave your car in the parking lot with any Clemson stuff on it, or you may not have a windshield and/or tires for your drive home.
Best thing to do is get a rental car and buy the damage waiver, just in case.

Just be careful. Their fans are extremely rude and will be even more upset after the Tigers kick their butt.

This is a big game around my Casa. Both my sons are Wolfies. They know better than to say much around Pop after a game,

Yeah, it sucks.

And my best attempt at answering your actual question is…
Cardinal Gibbons high school is basically right across the street from the stadium.
And I know there used to be public parking there.
But I haven’t done it in recent years, so not sure if anything has changed.
But it’s worth looking into.

The fair may end on the 22nd, but the fairgrounds are closed to public the entire month of October.

I could be mistaken, but I’ve never known a time when you could park inside the actual fairgrounds anyway.

The big issue would be the fair traffic, etc. but that will be gone.
