Stat that has to change! 94th in WR drops...

Very similar to last year. While some may be difficult catches due to QB throw, they are deemed as catchable.

Hate for this to turn into a bash Grisham thread but dang this trend seems to have been a continuous theme under his coaching. Maybe it's talent, coaching or a combo but either way we will not win tomorrow or make the CFPs if this continues.

Only real contested catch I recall this year is the Hamp #1 SportsCenter play. Definitely not 50/50 balls landing in our favor.

I sure hope.

I did forget the great TD catch by Briningstool. That was a very contested catch as well.

Brown and Williams need to be on the field at the same time. I also think Randall is ready to explode and show his talent. He brought in some tough balls last week

Only 2 upperclasmen - 1 senior and 1 junior. We had

a lot of busts recruited by the prior wide receivers coach.

Nobody remembers all of the catches from games.

You remember Hamp's catch because it was a highlight.

You remember some drops because they are lowlights.

I don't have a full list, but 2 of Clemson TD's in the FAU game were tightly contested balls that we came down with.

Briningstool TD catch and the Tyler Brown slant for a TD were both covered well and our players made the play.

I'm sure there have been more, but fans only tend to remember the extreme positives and negatives.

While some of this is true, I did mention Briningstool in follow-up post above, but it doesn't take away from the fact that we are 94th in drops despite good or great catches.

In the past our 50/50 balls were more like 70/30 vs 20/80 in just recent yrs.

What are we ranked in catches as opposed to last year at

this same time? That would be a great stat to know too.
