Same goes the other way.... no way should a Clemson grad should officiate a gamecock game. I'm sorry.... no way can either do their job without a vest interest. Period...
you can't tell me that all those 3rd down flags didnt add up.... they did add up.

I believe the corners have to do a better job not holding and pi, which are not called by the head official. The only conspiracy i can get onboard is other teams in acc complains to the commissioner that we hold or grab and the officials are told to paid close attention to that.
I know we are mad but hope this is an opportunity to clean up things as a team and not use excuses. Be honest, 40 points is unacceptable. Not able to run block is unacceptable. That referee didn't cost us an acc or natl championship, it's on the team to play like one.

I agree that wasn't the best call for Clemson. But for people to think in a split second that the ref could remember his school and make one call against Clemson out of hundreds of opportunities that game is assinine.

Quit defending your buddy so much on these boards. I don't think he was calling the game against Clemson because he graduated from USC, but he was in over his head last night with the personal foul call and letting the overall officiating get out of hand.
Even the TV announcers were pointing out his and the other officials very poor officiating. That was some of the sorriest officiating in a while and does deserve a review by the ACC.
Everyone has an opinion and are entitled to them just like you. Don't talk down to others for thier opinion just because your buddy had a bad night. And no, the officiating was not the total reason Clemson lost, so don't go down that road with me.

Don't know who (or care really) is responsible...several terrible calls that resulted in scores for Pitt. Felt onesided. Clemson gets its share of calls here and there but those calls tonight were daggers.

Why oh why would a clemson grad ever want to ref a USC home game?
My point is this type of ordeal 1) should never be allowed 2) what person in their right mind would want to ref against their in state rival knowing one blown call in one game could change his life forever?
Doesn't add up.

This thread sounds like a bunch of whiney a$$ Card & Nole fans. the game should have never been that close, it was an unranked Pitt on Senior Day in the Valley.
There is plenty of blame for the loss that had way more effect than the refs. Blame the crappy play of the O line for a non existent run game, blame the crappy play calling in stragetic situations we have seen since the Auburn game, blame the lackadaisical attitude of the team with no matter what we do we will win attitude and inability to put away inferior teams all year, blame the turnovers we have watched all year especially in the red zone, and Blame the coaches for not fixing that stuff. There is plenty to go around but when you let inferior teams hang around all year, eventually it is going to bite you in the A$$.
