Softball Attendance

Thanks Bama fans! Alabama softball averaged 3,019 fans per gm at Rhoads Stadium this year. Over 120,000 have taken in a Tide game overall!


This number blows away most College Baseball teams.

Why don't you go over the softball attendance numbers for the top 25 teams. Heres a hint....most don't even average 1000 fans per game. In 2010 TAMU who was the 10th most in terms of attendance for softball averaged 995 fans a game.

Don't post one school and claim it as gospel. Show me the numbers for the top 30.

Where exactly would we put a softball stadium? Club Sport fields and take out a huge chunk of football parking? I don't see where the money is in that one...We would probably have to put the thing across the lake in the Y Beach area (also football parking, though there is still room if you take out the fields/frisbee golf course I think).

I don't think we'll go for softball. The AD/IPTAY do a good job of not spreading the budget thin by having tons of varsity sports. I feel like that's how the Maryland AD got into trouble.

According to their schedule, they've played 29 home games. At 3019/game thats roughly 87,000.

If he's claiming that 120k have watched Tide games everywhere, thats a little over 1,000 for their all of their road games. But some of those are tournaments where its is probably 1 ticktet for a number of games that day.
