Great article just failed to mention that the RPO was repeated called even with our OL troubles.
Also, passing seems to always be focused on the sidelines.
Those of you pointing to the score should read the part where we were about to go three and out late in the 3rd up by only 7 after all the TOs.
Finally those blaming it all on DJ should watch that 3rd down play again where he saved the day.

Could not agree more! Play calling was ABYSMAL

It got somewhat better in the 4th quarter.
STOP with the repeated RPO.
STOP with passes to or behind the line of scrimmage at the sidelines.
WRs did not help DJ. He had a few throws on the money that were not caught.
Thank God for Antonio Williams.
Cade needs to play more. A LOT more.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Dabo/Streeter are sandbagging in week one. It's a pretty common tactic at all levels of football. Speaking as a HS referee.
Most schools/teams don't really start opening up the playbook in Week 1. It's common to run only the most basic plays and schemes in the scrimmages (at the HS level) and in week 1-2, unless it's a major, must-win game. In our case since it was GT, I wouldn't be surprised in Dabo and Streeter kneecapped the offense to try and limit the film that NC State will have on us later. They did that with KB against Auburn in 2017.

Agree with the article and yours.
Just because you get a kid from the portal they still have to earn PT. That's where I disagree with some on here and Dabo saying it's taking away a position from a player who's put in the time. A transfer is nothing more than another recruit.

I “feel” like the O’line did/will function more efficiently

Protecting Cade. He gets the ball out more quickly and stays on schedule. Of course, the body of work is SUS, but like I said, it’s a feeling.

Did anyone notice that we started moving the ball as soon as Dabo took over the play sheet and calling the plays?

that in a "neutral" site 5 minutes down the road from Tech, with first game rust, zero improvement on the O-line, tons of drops from the frisbee dogs, DJ turned in what would have been his best or at least one of his best games in 2021?
After the disaster I watched last year, and with this defense, I'll take that alllllll day from DJ.
The receivers I trust to get better, but I am beyond worried about the offensive line. I agree with David 100%, all the news out of camp sounded like we were doomed to repeat past mistakes and look what freaking happened.

That DJ’s running looked better? Maybe it’s these 70 yr old eyes playing tricks on me but he looked slow.

enough credit is being given to GT's defensive line. The transfers and the kid that was out last year have upgraded that D-line significantly.

They will still go 4-8 or 5-7. GT is not good. Watch Ole Miss put up 40 pts in the first half alone!

Florida STATE.
Tigernet routinely leaves out the State when talking about teams, like in the AP poll where Oklahoma was listed twice. Writers lack attention to detail. The writing would be better if they focused on the Clemson game. I am not nearly as interested in what Oregon, LSU, Rutgers, etc. did.
