Just this weak the board was saying Elliot/Scott were better because they stuck with run. We stuck with the run today and didn't get anything going until the 4th. So is the board now saying we need to pass more?

they made the right call there. Bryant was struggling and BC was daring us to run the ball. It eventually paid off.

They've gotten us to back to back national championship games, so it seems like they're doing a fine job to me.

Maybe we fire the oline coach, the dline coach, the guy who hired them and tear down the new football ops center. Apparently these guys don't read Tigernet nor do they take our sage advice!

I see tigerking is still on his soapbox. A win is much better than a loss.

What did you watch??? The sacks, incompletions, and negative passing plays on screens is what killed our drives. Bryant couldnt get comfortable all game bc we couldnt protect him. We ran just fine between the tackles, just wouldnt stick with it.

I hate to break it to those who don't ever look at stats and figure out that they can tell certain things about teams, but let's dive in shall we, based on new ones.
Boston College will honestly surprise you in what we actually played.
Team Passing Efficiency Defense & Rushing Defense: http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/40 http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/24/p3
Surprise, surprise everyone...Boston College now sits at #16 in the nation at Team Passing Efficiency Defense, and #127 in Rushing defense...and you wonder why the run game was the plan? o_O
And then for a total defensive look, let's take a look at the updated NCAA S&P+, which factors in playing cupcakes, garbage time TD's, etc that skew basic "total defense" rankings only looking at total yards and not counting where they come from....the S&P removes the crap and gives a better look into overall efficiencies: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ncaa2017
Boston College again will surprise you....after ND ran all over them the prior game, they were still sitting at #27 S&P+ Defense last week. Now, they are at #40 after Clemson put 27 unanswered on them in the 4th quarter, but still in the top 50 defenses. And as much as people think NC State has a decent defense, they sit at #39 in S&P+ defense...one rank spot higher than BC, just to give some insight.
