...ball off of the net it's a foul ball. Never knew that. Thought that was an out.

That ball never hit net

But if it had it would be considered a foul ball

Hitting the net makes sense that it’s out of play, but I don’t think it hit the net. Note the ump didn’t call it until he saw the net move JUST BEFORE Darnaud caught it.

And the net only moved cause D'arnaud put his hand on it.

Umpire never looked up at the ball. You can see it on the replay.

IF it hit the net . . .

it did so further up than the camera angle I watched depicted.

If anyone has ever been a catcher, you know a foul ball behind the plate works it’s way back towards fair territory on its decent. It is likely that foul ball tipped the net much higher up.

I’m more impressed with Kelley handling the 9th without drama!!!

It’s playoffs for them as well. Should’ve been an out. Snit sometimes needs a little fire under his belt like Bobby.

Listening to the radio broadcast with Ravich and Kurjean. They said once D’Arnoud used the netting to help steady himself, the ball was considered a foul ball. I’d never heard that rule but they explained it pretty well.

Really? Pretty sure that's not a rule...outfielders put their hands on the wall/fence all the time when making plays. The netting isn't any different.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
