Although it would be neat for them to HAVE to see our beautiful campus and sit in traffic for a couple hours to get back to I-85.
But no - let them go to Athens. Or Birmingham. Or Russia.

Here are some options that are being discussed;
Oct 4, 2016, 6:23 PM
|
|
1 - Play at Sanford Stadium in Athens which would be similar to the scenario that occurred last year when LSU was scheduled to play at South Carolina but due to the flooding, the game was moved to Baton Rouge.
2 - Play at the Georgia Dome on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Georgia State is currently scheduled to host Texas State on Saturday at 3:30 so that game would have to be moved to an earlier time and then have the Georgia-South Carolina game played later.
3 - Play at Bobby Dodd Stadium. GT plays at Pitt this Saturday.
4 - Move the game to December 3rd.
5 - Cancel the game outright which is the least likely option IMO.

I would have no problem with it. It is a potential natural disaster. It would be petty of Clemson not to offer in an emergency situation. If they refuse so be it.
Of course they should not be able to experience the hill.

why they only won 4 games.
Besides, Usuk and UGA have the absolute WORST fan bases. They would trash the place without 70,000 Clemson fans present to stop them.

Recall what NC State did for ECU one year.

They offered up their stadium for Hurricane Floyd, and ECU fans trashed the place.

If I am remembering the right game I think ECU fans tore State's goal posts down too. Believe ECU upset Miami that night.

I would not. The field gets enough wear during the season without am extra superSEC game going on. If it is wet and rainy we don't want those superstars putting massive ruts in it. It is only used to lowly ACC Atlantic top 5 games.

You're right. That SEC speed with those SEC athletes would tear our field up.

Well, we played in a monsoon last year, but we know the pansy coots have a hard time playing in a shower, must less a storm. Maybe they can move it to the Georgia dome so they can play in good weather.

Based on the matchup they should just cancel it all together, no one would really notice
