Should Dabo make exceptions for certain recruits?

Class of 2026 (possibly reclassifies to 2025) QB Julian “Juju” Lewis just released his top 8 schools and Clemson didn’t make the cut. He’s the future #1 player in his class and is a phenom. Threw for 530 yds in GA 7A state title game (record) as a freshman. On pace to shatter Deshaun and Trevor HS records, and his current coach was Trevor’s HS coach so the clemson connection is there. He has been quoted saying how much he loved his clemson visits/camps. He was most recently quoted after his top 8 was released…said he loved a couple other schools but they didn’t offer and he is ready to narrow down his list so he can focus on less schools and play football. This kid will be a program changer and an absolute star. Received all major D1 offers across the country his 8th and 9th grade year (UGA, bama, osu, lsu, usc, etc.)

With that said, does Dabo need to make more exceptions for phenoms like Juju who can single handedly take your program to the next level and offer them earlier? His current process worked with Trevor. But I’d argue it wouldn’t have worked with Deshaun since DW4 was loyal to clemson as his first big offer as a freshman in HS.

Jk.

I can somewhat agree here, but also know there's a ways to signing day.

If we're in contact, that is important. We only take what we need, and impulse shop very rarely. Time's on our side, if'n it matters at all

Yeah, I see your argument but he camped with us and knows the process. Will be interesting to follow what does happen.

If he is the right kind of guy he’ll still be open to considering us when the time comes. We will offer in plenty of time before his commitment time frame.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

A lot of water will pass under the bridge before Juju Lewis is finished with college football. Odds are he may not pan out. He may not have chosen Clemson even if Dabo did give. He may transfer like half the "can't miss/generational talent/program changer" five stars that bailed on Jimbo at Texas A&M this offseason. Dabo has to weigh the pros and cons of his policies. If he begins losing ground competitively as a result does it still benefit the athletes in a way that overshadows that? Can he still be competitive without those that don't agree with the policy?
No matter what he's our coach and we're behind him win or tie. (Just don't tie too much.)
