Dead ball. Player would return to last base, which would be 3rd.

That is why the coaches box exists. They don't have to stay inside of it, but they have to be aware that if they make contact with the ball- it is dead.

you do realize the throw was backed up? he would have been nailed at 3rd.

Jack should have stayed in the box but you can't blame the man for everything that goes wrong with your team.
