Respect goes out to ...

@ClemsonTigerBaseballFan for being so optimistic about the team and predicting the sweep of FSU. I admit I never saw this series swinging Clemson's way.

Great job, Tigers!! Hope to see them doing great things in the ACC Tournament.

You are kind. The reality is that we played a team that our starting pitchers match up well against. Our starters all have pretty good control. FSU took the W's for granted and didn't adjust their typical game strategy for our unique pitchers. They shouldn't have been taking so many pitches. Taking pitches just helps Matthew, Zach and Jake ring up strikes. Someone could argue that Matthew's control is off a bit this year due to the increase in walks. I would tell you that he can typically throw a strike whenever he wants to (his change up was an exception for some reason during the 1st several innings on Thursday). Though I said sweep a couple of times in posts (confession time), I couldn't have really believed it in my heart because I was sweating bullets each time a starter was lifted. So happy that Taylor Vetzel and Pat Krall were able to get it done. I really believe that Brody Koerner has all of the tools. He just needs confidence. Baseball is so mental. It was such a fun series. Can't wait for the ACC Tourney :)
