nice restaurant in the Greenville area to take your significant other to eat for Valentine's Day where would you go? Preferably no seafood as we both dislike seafood. Cost is not an issue.

Get her out of the house then hop on the grill and cook an amazing meal. Set up the tables with flowers, candles, and wine has always been better then fighting the crowds on Valentines Day.

My wife thinks so lol, it does help that I’m an absolute master on the grill. Just find it more romantic to have a nice dinner alone then in a crowed restaurant but everyone is different

Same here. Ingles has been having some really good sale prices on NY strips, ribeyes and thick cut center cut pork chops. We buy several meals worth when they are on sale and freeze them. I cook on the grill regularly and we just don’t even consider going to an expensive steak house anymore. We get steaks seasoned and cooked just the way we like them and no crowds. My wife learned how to bake a clove of garlic like they do at the Grove Park in Asheville and we have that and some sautéed or grilled veggies and eat like kings at home for cheap. Meal that would cost $100+ at a restaurant costs us maybe $15-20. And I enjoy cooking on the grill and having a beer on the patio. Doesn’t get much better than that IMO.

Here here. On special occasions I’ll go with my charcoal grill as it takes a few beers for the coals to get right. ? Best meals by far.

Traveled to G'ville in October for a HS class party and noticed the restaurant was still open. Think it has been since the early 70s if not earlier. Likely one of the oldest in the chain.

ive lived in greenville 21 years .. been to many , many restaurants around the area including downtown.
A Hamburger at chophouse is better than cook out no doubt.. but it isn't $20 better.. and parking downtown is a nightmare. I dunno why any one pays so much more and goes through so much more hassle for the "experience" or eating.

Go to Charleston for seafood. Was at my brother’s this weekend and we got 3 bushels of local oysters and steamed them in the back yard along with some Beaufort stew. Good stuff.

Been married almost 36 years. My experience is dining out on V-Day is a nightmare. My typical plan on the actual day is to make her favorite foods at home and choose a time the weekend before or after to go out on the town. Going out on V-day at an expensive place never give satisfaction as the good spots are typically overwhelmed so the food is not as good as other days.
I would recommend Rick Erwin's Eastside or Soby's. It is also nice to check Yelp and choose somewhere new to try such as Jianna, Fork and Plough or Urban Wren, The Cazbah for tappas.

As far as atmosphere and ease of parking, it is hard to beat Saskatoon, located just off Haywood Road on Halton Road in Greenville.
We have always enjoyed it and the service is great!

L'incanto located in Greer. Finest Italian cuisine I've ever had, and that includes Italy and NYC. Great chef and owner. Have a happy V-Day!

Drive up to Asheville and go to the Red Stag Grill in the Bohemian Hotel at Biltmore Village just outside the gates to the Biltmore Estate. They usually have elk and bison tenderloin and a really good beef ribeye. The atmosphere is fantastic. That would definitely be my choice.
In Greenville, Saskatoon comes highly recommended. I haven’t been yet but my daughter and son in law and some friends we know just love it. When we used to go out for occasions like that we always enjoyed the Melting Pot. Get a bottle of wine because it is a 2 hour experience if you take your time and enjoy it.
