Recruiting gurus, what gives?

I just turned on a show on Fox Sports Network called The New College Football Show and they were discussing the incoming recruiting class. They listed the top 10 recruiting classes. Clemson was totally omitted. Said the rankings they were using were based on Rivals.com. Is our class small? How can we not be in the top 10? I changed the channel to Seinfeld reruns.

rivals has us at #4. I would write a strongly worded letter to the
producers over at Fox.

I'm watching it as well. As far as Fox and their lil show I wouldn't study it. I'm guessing they are judging the classes by quantity rather than quality. Rest assure we're one of the top classes out there.
We covered our bases and needs far greater than most IMO. Our incoming OLine class is nothing short of stellar! Some of the the very best are headed our way. And we landed some of the very best on the DLine as well. Landing Wilkins and Huggins is huge in addition to the others. Plus we filled in some skill positiion slots with elite talent. I have no complaints about this class at all.
But if I were picky I'd like to have seen us land DE Josh Sweat. No big deal though. And not to stick my hand in the cookie jar to much but RB Jaques Patrick (sp?) would've been a steal. I believe he's around 6'2 230 and runs like the wind, as a bruiser no less. He went to FSU so we'll have to deal with him.

Fox has it out for Southeastern teams even more so bc of the little brother syndrome. There's a reason why usc jr treats our game like a Natty Title game, lil bro syndrome. They really want to win enough against us to even things out. Get some respect nationally. Etc... This is Fox. And the I ticket to the dance is to pump their invested-in conferences until the point where perception becomes reality.
Sucks, but don't expect anything other than rare ACC love on Fox.

We have a top 4 recruiting class in ESPN and Rivals, but on 24/7 and Scout we aren't in the top 10. We're 18th on 24/7. The latter two have a different formula for their point system. Often they can value quantity more than quality.

Fox uses Scout, not Rivals. Scout has us at 12. They've pretty much always ranked our classes lower than all the other recruiting sites.
