A lot of you have short memories. Our offense struggled a lot last year not only because our OL and QB play but all of our three decent young RBs were hurt at some point last year missing games.
Last year we reloaded with Adams Jr. despite a desperate need after transfers. The Pumpers all pointed to this year, well guess what?
The same few will defend RB recruiting at nausea and in the same breath attack Judge. I don't get it.

Desperate need? Who the hell would transfer here or anywhere to be the 4th string RB for the 2022 season?
We’re also the same ones that wasn’t panicking a few months back when it was being said Clemson football can no longer recruit in the NIL world.

And a few months ago we said we would be fine when the panickers said we are losing so much on the DL this year and didn’t have anyone committed for next year. That looks pretty good at this point. We don’t have a “desperate “ need for a RB in 2023. We will need to reload in 2024 and I’m confident we will.

So a guy with 1 year of eligibility left would be a better idea for 4th string RB, than taking a flyer on Keith Adams Jr?
Football might not be your game, might want to stick with basketball and your love for Brad’s revolving transfer portal.

Since we did not end up with 85 scholarship players it did not need to be one or the other as it could have been both. Math might not be your strong suit

You don't waste scholarship $ on a graduate to be 4th string for a year. Like I said in my first response on this thread who is going to transfer here or anywhere for that matter to ride the bench for a year? Under that scenario said graduate might even be 5th string if you're trying to get K. Adams garbage time carries. Anytime logical facts are thrown in your face you show supreme idiocy.

Yep....expanding that Swinney coaching tree. Plus we have 3 established stars at RB, but at QB we had a question mark in DJU and an unproven freshman in Cade. Jstonecobb is such a loser in life he's supporting our arguments while thinking he's winning.

He was a consensus 4 star RB. Clemson fans just didn’t know about him because we weren’t recruiting him until the very end.

I dont think people were excited about Adams Jr as far as reloading. Thats why they wanted a homerun this year. I think we will get our homerun next class.

I'm just wondering because so many here are already putting the nail in the recruiting coffin as if some of these kids won't change their minds between now and December. Take Cobb for example. He's going to commit to Auburn. Ok, cool. Head coach Bryan Harsin also has to have a good year or he might be out by December, and Cobb might decide to go elsewhere. Once the coaching carousel gets going, who knows what will happen?? We didn't even get involved with ETN until VERY late in that year's cycle.
So how about we all just back away from the ledge and take a breath. Yes, our RB recruiting has not looked great but this isn't the 11th hour so maybe we just take a chill pill for the time being.

You guys are tilting at windmills. Just because many people think there is no value in a TP RB with three excellent RBs on the roster and EIGHT total RBs, or just because we don’t panic, doesn’t mean people think we are crushing it.
How about this for all the people who think we need a TP RB: be specific. Who do we need and what impact will they make?

Nobody seems to have noticed Dominique Thomas.
I have a good feeling about him possibly being a real contributor. Seems to be a beast of an athlete. He has one of those sad stories too…which we all seem to love.

Literally no equivalency between defending a 13th year head coach with mediocre results and attacking a 2nd year staff member of the 2nd best active coach in college football. Attacking CJ implies you don’t think Dabo sees what you do which makes you an idiot.

Does criticizing our recruiting staff make you feel superior to the staff? Do you truly feel that you know better than Dabo’s hand picked professionals where they should be focusing more effort? Can you claim that every year would be a national championship year if you were running things? If so guess what! You either have an over inflated ego, or you totally missed your calling. My guess is, you have a seriously irrational ego.

Wondering who criticized the staff? I thought this board was built to discuss current topics which would include posters thoughts both good and bad. Is this incorrect? Should we all just post our total agreement with every single decision made by the staff without a single concern mentioned? Is that what you consider an interesting discussion?
