Overall, my sources give this year's Swifty Bowl a 5 out of 10 on the fun-o-meter.

From everything I'm hearing, the game was not exciting and the commercials were mostly meh.

The production, including halftime, was actually a little too "safe" - carefully orchestrated to not offend a whole bunch of groups, which means they likely offended a whole bunch of groups.

A buddy of mine texted to say the players on both teams looked a little confused after the winning TD, like they weren't sure the game was even over.

He said even the confetti seemed to fall in such a way as to appear disinterested in the outcome.

Of course, most of my sources are grumpy old Caucasian dudes whose wealth and privilege have left them unable to apprehend, much less appreciate, the musical and lyrical genius of Ice Spice, or the love story for the ages that is Swift-Kelce.

The good news on a dismal Upstate day is it's 201 days until the National Collegiate Football League kicks off.

And the bass are about to start running shallow.

So refreshing.

For all of us older folks it was at least an 8 on the scale. Great defenses, great kicking and timely offenses gave us football the way it is supposed to be played.

It was an absolutely great game.

But then again I am not a conservative, tight@$$ OANer sheepishly and ignorantly swallowing conspiratorial fabricated manure so that I see a pop star's romance to a NFL TE as the bogeyman.

Might just be me though.
