If u pay a player $250,000 to play as a walk-in , does it count against the scholarship limit?

Unless the tuition is $250,000 the university can't give a player $250,000. If they make $250,000 due to their NIL and get no scholarship money then it doesnt count against your scholarship limit. I see where you are going here - what a mess.

Only if they are already on campus, a kid cannot transfer in from another school in October and play on the team even as a walk in, they won’t even be allowed to enroll in school until January.

Lol…no.

I think he is saying that is shady and wondering if it can happen. The person or company who pays may not be that random.

But a booster can, like the BYU one that gave all the walk ons on the team enough NIL for “scholarships “ through his protein bar company.

No but one time, A SCHOOL DOES NOT PAY PLAYERS. That possibility has been my fear about NIL since the beginning.
