the timeline correct. Pics of her injuries? Where's his personal possessions (maybe in the motel room)? You wouldn't by any chance believe in prosecution by the press on a she said/ he said? As to morons,....

I believe in not letting yourself get involved in that situation. Becoming loud or aggressive with a woman is dumb, yes.

Since he told police he "pushed" his way past her I've read enough to know he's a moron.

If she was standing in the doorway, how else do you leave?

Jul 31, 2013, 6:56 PM

Again, no details, just conceivable scenarios. Maybe if she wouldn't let him leave, he should have called the police himself and claimed false imprisonment. Obviously, you're an authority on the moronic.

Glad we agree to disagree

Amazing that a person can be charged, tried and convicted

by someone reading a story.

I feel the same way about anything you post.

Blocking the door is an old trick to bait a CDV charge

Jul 31, 2013, 7:05 PM

There used to be a divorce lawyer in the lower part of the state (SC) that would coach his female clients how to do it "right". That shyster was a piece of garbage - and a big time Gamecock Club guy...

Guys, if she is blocking the door, she is committing a criminal offense (technically kidnapping). If you charge past her making physical contact or putting her "in reasonable fear for her safety," then you will be charged with CDV. Pretty easy charge to beat, but an arrest is always inconvenient at best (deadly when you are about to be served with divorce / custody papers or when your NFL team has put you are on waivers and you are trying to pick up a new contract)....

Doormestic Violence? One article says he beat on the door

Jul 31, 2013, 10:24 PM

to get in, and one says he was trying to get out. Hopefully, it is a case where both parties were just angry at each other rather than something really bad.

My point exactly. Sadly, nowadays you just don't know for sure based on headlines in these rags called newspapers today.

To be fair

Jul 31, 2013, 10:51 PM

I do remember the great catch he made in, I believe, the Miami game.

But, yeah, he didn't pan out here nearly as well as he should've with his talent and size. Never did stop the two step dance at the start of every run.

that was at Auburn.
He also almost beat FSU in 2010 on his own.

I think I'll wait until all the facts are in before passing judgement. If he's guilty, then he deserves major consequences. If he's not, I doubt there will be much effort to clear his name.

domestic assault? Nobody claimed there was any punching or kicking?

The whole concept of domestic violence is oversimplified.
