But we won and those ACC refs SUCKED! I've seen better refs at a high school football game. Embarrassing that we allow that in this conference. I'd rather have SEC refs and that's saying something.

Officiating is ALL politics. I have a brother-in-law who officiated Basket Ball in the ACC for over 30 years. He was in the same district as myself and many other friends who officiated high school basketball and there were numerous officials in our district who were much better officials than he. He NEVER even had a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game, BUT he had a good friend who was related to Fred Barracat (spelling) and through that relationship he got into the ACC. He also had one of the worst calls in ACC history involving Wake in the ACC Tourney, but he stayed until he chose to retire. So it's not how good an official you are, it's who you know that can get you in the league.

I’ve been wondering all season if they would ever call holding. It seems our d line has been held a lot this year, but it is seldom called. I almost feel like the officials think it is ok bc our d line is so good.
