Old News, Probably Germans, 2019/2020 transfer outs

I go down rabbit holes on lunchbreak often. Thought this one was interesting enough to share.
2019 class had 29 kids enroll. 13 transferred out. 4 quit football. 12 finished at Clemson.
2020 class was probably Clemson's best class ever on paper. 23 enrolled. 10 transferred out. 13 guys either drafted or still eligible.
I have pointed the finger at DJ, Streeter, lack of coaching experience on offense, etc. But it might be bad recruiting evaluation and even worse player retention. Maybe it's all of the above but seeing that 27 out of 52 (52%) players signed didn't finish at Clemson is staggering.
Does anyone have the numbers on transfer-outs from some of the blue bloods like OSU, Bama, Georgia?

the difference will be in the “Transfer in” category. We’re still stuck at 0 for all intents and purposes

with the assertion that everyone wants to stay at Clemson, thereby leaving us no room for transfers.

A lot of those transfer outs are Clemson grads.

Not sure you count that. Many of those would have even been 5th or 6 year guys based on CoVID rules. Also, how many starters have transferred out?

On3 has a wonderful site for transfers. I’ve posted it before but I’m on mobile so I’m not going to look for it. It’s very easy to find. Most outgoing transfers are transferring down or closer to home or sometimes but the minority they transfer up.
Okay I lied here it is.

That's a great link. I wish it went back a few more years.

None of our transfers out would be playing a lot of snaps this year, but interesting to look at where (level of program) our transfers out are going vs UGA and Bama. We should perhaps just keep in touch with any of the HS recruit losses to UGA/Bama etc and tell them to call us when it doesn't work out there and pull them back in...

I don’t think we need to go looking for 20 transfers but to say we can’t find a couple guys that would be immediate impacts in some way, nobody that could transfer in and get PT is just foolish. Nobody out there could be a “Clemson guy” and be “all in” or contribute? Not a single guy in the portal? There’s a few hundred dudes in the portal annually. Surely one could be a fit. That’s why everyone is mad it’s just Dabo blatantly ignores it because some kid might come in and take a scholarship or PT away from Hamp green or Brannon Spector

that is a great link. How many did we recruit out of the portal last year? I am thinking 3 and got 1. Does anybody know our NIL value?

WE DONT NEED TO USE THE PORTAL!!!!
It's ok and even recommended to replace transfer players that have been developed in our program for 1-3 years with freshman right out of high school!
It's a recipe for success!
