NOPE. They just need to manage the situation better.
Why they thought "open" parking would help is beyond me. All that did was incite a already anxious group into an unmanaged group of people trying to outdo their neighbors in seeing how much mud they could create with their pickups, suv's and cars.
If they would just stick to the plan and control the crowd better by having some well informed parking attendants then the fields would do better.
I saw several people spinning their tires for no reason and aiming for trash bags just for the fun of it. The result was a very rutted field and (previously bagged) trash all over the place. It was very disappointing but predictable once they announced the 'open parking' policy.
More than likely this mess will result in IPTAY taking control of those fields (in the name of 'order') and paving them thus taking away something else from the students. Maybe the "IPTAY Collegiate Club" will have access to the few remaining grass fields after the lots get paved?
