I know all teams go through slumps but it is the poor play in the field & poor approach at the plate right now that has me concerned. How many pitches did the batters just stand there & watch right down the middle of the plate & then try to pull an outside corner pitch? Not good.

with all that said I feel a helluva lot better knowing Eric Bakich is the head man and not Monte Lee in this situation because it would escalate even further under his watch

Correct 2001........every hitter has become passive, taking strikes and swinging at balls. All these guys trying to pull the ball and hit home runs on every swing on those outside pitches just drives me nuts, too. We had a bunch of really productive offensive come-from-behind games and suddenly everyone wants to be Henry Aaron.

Spot on. We're striking out way more than we were in Feb and March. We've got to get everyone healthy. Especially pitching.

How many Clemson Athletic teams and how many more times do we have talk about getting healthy and injury free,it's worse than mentioning the words "being young"...I know injuries are gonna happen but dang they happen a lot to Clemson Athletics teams for sure

You can't stay as hot as we were during March, it's just not sustainable in today's game. We lost Smith which hurt our weekend rotation which hurts our weekday rotation. The errors worry you some because thy have been there all year off and on, the only thing we need to watch if a scouting report has found something in our swings and people are exploiting more now, if that's the case you will see pitch sequences per hitter start really being obvious, especially for kids that don't like spin as much and heavily look for only fastballs.

we were 55-9 in our last 64 before these last 3. that is insane. no team could keep that up. we will be just fine. might take a few games to get everything situated with the loss of ciufo, which is huge. he will be missed greatly but we have a bunch of players. getting tristan back will help also. with our staff i have zero worries about this bump in the road.
