non-political topic - muscle twitches....

Does anyone here have involuntary muscle twitches? Sometimes, when I'm sitting around, I can feel a muscle contract. It's not a cramp, just a twitch. It's sometimes my eyelid, sometimes a finger, sometimes an abdominal muscle....been this way for 24 years, and no changes to it.

Anyone here ever have that? did you find out anything? When I read online, it's called "benign fasciculation syndrome" if it's meaningless....but it could be something more problematic.

I got it, too. Sometimes my calf, sometimes my forearm, occasionally a facial muscle. Rarely occurs, but it’s pretty much happened my whole life.

Yeah, comes and goes. Had one in my left arm the other day. After it started twitching I realized I had not had a twitch in a long time - maybe a couple years.

Sometimes I have nothing. Other times, it'll rotate to different parts of my body.

Been this way for 24 years, and usually ignore it.

It happened to me before in the eyelids, and my calves. I was eating terribly at the time, looked it up, and said vitamin D deficiency. I started taking nutritional supplements and it was gone in a couple of weeks.

TDS.

Seriously though, it’s probably dehydration or the inability of your body to absorb certain vitamins with ease.

I wouldn’t be too concerned if it has been happening to you for nearly a quarter of a century with no harm though. I mean, Magic Johnson has been HIV positive since I was in 8th grade and he’s a’ite still.

More salt. Get more magnesium somehow. Drink plain water a few times a day.

My eyelids did that right before my stroke several years ago. Up to that point, I’d never noticed any twitches.

I think it was just a coincidence though so not saying that to cause any worry.
