No FSU has better LBs and DBs and the DL is similair

If SC's DL doesn't get pressure their secondary can get picked apart as shown by Tenn and other passing teams.

Tenn O line is better than Clemson's. That is a fact and anyone who follows CF knows that.

Your responses are telling

You asked who had the better D. Folks answered with their opinions (and reasoning behind it). Its cool if you disagree, but the nature of your responses are very telling.

Re: no, USuC has several good pieces, but top to bottom, FSU

has the best overall Defense. FSU secondary is light years ahead of USuC. Linebacker USuC has one good one FSU are all good. Def. line FSU has better tackles. Def. End Clowney is the best, but as a tandam I'll take FSU's Werner and the other guy that has more sacks. Basically USuC has one good end, one great end, one good LB and one good Safety. FSU is good everywhere but might be thin at Corner, but still better than USuC's corners.

FSU is the best Defense we will face all season. and we did pretty well against them. if we block clowney the way we blocked werner they are in TROUBLE.. we will hang 50 on them.. easily

I think they have played at the highest level

That is to say they show the potential of being the best. But the earlier response had a good point that if the OL can hold their blocks for a bit then USC has shown their secondary can give up big plays.
We'll see, and it'll definitely be a tough test one way or the other.

They are pretty good. FSU is not so bad either.

From what I've seen the last two years, and with the exception of the UGA game this year, South Carolina plays a game to take advantage of opportunities not to dominate.
They just seem to hang around and find a way to win. Largely in part to their defense.

This will be the best offense and defense weve played since fsu and are equal ad fsu on d. Gotta stop Shaw from running wild and keep receivers in front of us, Byrd and sanders are fast but they are crappy receivers. Clowney will be tough to contain but if we do big plays will lead us to a 31-28 victory.

If we win, it will be close...

SCU has wanted it more in each of the last three years. We've shown up uninspired - as though we'd win it based on history alone.
They're good this year - better than they've been in the last few years. We're better too on offense. But the D is a big question mark for us. Maybe we've improved on defense in the last few games...everyone says we have, but who knows? (We've played WF and Duke?)
I just hope we show up ready to play all-out on every single play, from start to finish. Take nothing for granted...they will be tougher than us.
