had family over for a party to celebrate 2 birthdays. Before grilling pic only, things got kinda hectic at time to eat. Marinated chicken, steak, scallops, veggies. chicken, scallops, and veggies drizzled with a balsamic glaze after grilling. Served over wild rice blend with baked beans w/bacon, cantelope and watermelon. cake and ice cream. Food comas all around.

BTW, first time I ever used the flat bamboo skewers. They are awesome and highly recommended.

from completing my prep work. I hate making kabobs. Mrs No loves kabobs. Mrs No did no kabob work. See pic.

After that, it was a couple beers tending the grill. Had a downpour that knocked the temp down to low 80's, but humidity was stiffling. Due to relatively short grilling times and extended family's tendency to be late, I had to grill mostly after they got here. Did the chicken and steak first, then the veggies completely filled up the Weber Genesis, then the scallops last. Bamboo skewers, even awesome flat ones, get hot and are hard to flip over any way but bare handed, especially with a grill full. I hate kabobs.
