What I saw from Wes Goodwin on tv today

There was a time when the cuse offense was lining up but the broadcast team had a super close up shot of Goodwin. The look in his eyes was amazing. You could see his brain receptors exploding the analysis of his mind working, scanning the players, scanning the set up, and then all of a sudden BAM!!!! His decision is made and he gets the call to his players. It was one of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen in a college football game.
I don’t know if it was the camera shot or the look in his eyes or what, but I cannot recall ever seeing that kind of robotic analysis going on in any Coach. It was like A.I. took over his brain and gave him the call. So cool to see. Kudos to the camera crew for capturing that moment. If I could make a .gif of that it would be so cool.
Wes is the guy. He isn’t perfect and no coach is. He isn’t BV but again no coach is. But that dudes mind is a machine. And he’ll do great!

Goodwin deserves some credit today.
Terps held to under 300 yards and one of their TD's followed a turnover. .
Our defense forced 3 turnovers and had numerous sacks.

The one that stood out to me was when we punted and they had the ball at their 20. Syracuse had a 5 yard penalty on the play that didn’t give us the first down. Before deciding to decline or take the penalty, Dabo walked over and talked to Goodwin. I couldn’t read their lips but Dabo was definitely asking Goodwin what he thought we should do. We took the penalty and replayed the punt and forced a fair catch at their 7 yard line. We gained 13 yards. I’m thinking Wes, the analytical mind, told Dabo if we kick it into the end zone it’s still at the 20 and we have a chance to pin them deeper. We’ll never know what was said but it was pretty obvious Dabo was asking for his input and Goodwin had the answer.
