New helmet rule: Blatant helmet-ripping off against Auburn

Just wanted to chime in on this discussion and say that, after reviewing the game replay (I was in the stands for the actual game), it is clear to me that Tajh's helmet gets ripped off in the pile on the play in the fourth quarter which sets up 4th and goal on the one.
I slowed down the replay to get a frame-by-frame look at it, and it's clear that Tajh is down with his helmet on. He then gets dragged backwards by the Auburn defender to his right, and you can see the Auburn guy's arm grabbing Tajh's helmet through the front of the helmet. Then, Tajh comes out of the pile wincing because he got gouged in the eyes by the guy trying to pull it off. The point is that the rule is causing more injuries and helmets are being pulled off after the play is over, which is not the intent of the rule. NCAA needs to review and act.

guys behind him, not at the bottom of the pile. Tajh got piled on because his runs were often in tight space in the middle of the defense.

Is there a video anywhere? I was at the game and couldn't really tell from the upper deck. I was wondering why Tajh's helmet came off so much.

The first time it happened Tajh was in a helmet head lock...

and the defender ripped it off his head. When it happened the third time as you described it's not an accident. It's on purpose. It then becomes an advantage for the defense since the first string qb has to sit a play.
Instead it should be a 15 yard penalty against the defense for "face masking/helmet infraction" and the offensive player should not have to sit out a play. Unfortunately I also believe this would call for more use of video review and longer games (which I'm not for at all).
Oddly, the ncaa was created because of head injuries and they began the use of helmets. It seems they would have thought this through a bit more.
