I'm so happy for Sam. Time's winding down. Hard to believe next week is the last kft event before a month off for the finals. If he's going to make a move, he'll need to play lights out this weekend.

I got a big case of the sads not being able to follow Jacob this weekend. I know we now move forward to the fall sports but I'm going to miss our Thursday-Sunday golf. Back to Jacob, if we're being brutally honest, he only has himself to blame for NOT already securing his card next year. The last month, he's been right there going into the weekend only to fizzle out onSaturday and Sunday. He was extremely fortunate last week to have a Friday round and then shoot poorly sat and Sunday and still finish 4th. Just one good weekend round and his card is wrapped up. Oh well, one more week.

Alice Hewson has finished her 3rd Round . . . after birdying her final hole, she still remains 1 shot short of the “Second Cut” . . .

You heard me . . . the 2nd Cut:

“ A field of 144 LPGA and Ladies European Tour (LET) members will compete in a 72-hole stroke-play tournament on two very different golf courses. The field will be cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. After 54 holes, the field is reduced again to the top 35 and ties.“

I doubt the 2nd Cut will move, but who knows . . . the afternoon session is still on the course.

Yeah, they do have the favorites. Usually the ones that have the biggest social media followers. But they have that because they're so good.

But Lucas had some good opportunities all day. Just couldn't get the flatstick working as he has of late. He also had some missed shots too. Like hole 2, perfect position.
