My stadium expansion idea...

Never will do this unless we start winning more and playing better non conference teams. I agree wit mac brown, the strenght of schedule should make a huge difference. This will force teams to play tougher non conference games, that fans like best!
If we did ever expand DV i would like to see I walk around area connecting N and S stands that goes just behind the score board high enough to leave a tunnel for the team to come through. It should look kind of like the Columns arounf the end of UVA's stadium. Then fill in the sides of the score boards below the walk around. This would be some seats just above our East end Handicapped seats wouldn't add to many seats but the view would be awesome! Go Tigers!

Yes, yes lets completely ruin the stadium...

Lets add deck upon deck. Lets have tunnels galore. Lets add about 10 more traditions so we don't even have time to actually play the game. Lets build the decks so high you can't even see the Campus or Lake from the stadium. It will be awesome. Screens so big........ 70" HDTV in every seat.

A large brick tower in each corner of the stadium.......

..where the upper decks end, one named for Heisman, Neely, Howard and Ford. They could put some type of luxury suites inside of them or something.

Deck of bums
Jun 10, 2012, 4:08 AM

Let's add an upper deck above the hill and fill into completely with hobos from around the area. Once a quarter have a helicopter fly over and drop bags of Krystal burgers in the stands so to create a mad rush of bum fights. Give a few hundred bums sideline passes on the visitor side so the visiting team is continuously being harassed by pan handlers and bums offering to clean their helmets for spare change. This would start a great tradition.

Sounds good. Somewhere in the process we should make our upper decks the same size though.

I think (beyond the technology improvements already announced) more seating, a nicer entry at the East Endzone and a tunnel to Howard's Rock would all be nice/valuable improvements.

We Need A Beer Concession!
Jun 10, 2012, 11:04 AM
|
|
80K+ stadium x $4.00 a beer = (approx) $320,000.00 gross revenue per game
7 (home games) x 320K = 2.24 MILLION a year from beer sales
Assumptions: Not everyone is going to buy a beer... under 21, those who discriminate against beer ...
Those who like beer will probably buy more then 1, so a average 1 per seat
Lets Implement!!!
Notes: The 21 law is miss-guided. USA has the third most oppressive alcohol laws in the world, behind Muslim Countries and China. By having these very strict alcohol laws, alcohol abuse has actually INCREASED! The "forbidden fruit" paradox with the 18-21 crowd. If we had laws similar to Europe, there would not be a problem. ie Alcohol sales no big deal... HOWEVER, if caught drunk driving lose license for 5 years, no exceptions, no excuses, no waivers...
