Sounds like your dad should take the Scion back and sell it, and make your ### walk everywhere. THAT is something that he could - and should - brag about. Those "timeouts" in your childhood should have been replaced with some azz-whoopings and you'd be a lot more grateful.
btw: how much of that car did YOUR ### pay for? Asking for a friend.

Agreed! Sounds like my teenage son two years ago. I bought him a Chevy S-10 his Junior year of high for $3000. It wasn't nice enough and he complained all the time. I sold it and told him to buy his own. Suddenly he liked it. Sorry but to late.
Btw, I have Scion XB and love it!

Em's car got totaled by a landscaping truck on the 440 in Raleigh last month. I gave her the choice of taking the payoff and buying whatever she wanted with it (like that would have gotten much) or keeping the cash and driving our 2002 Olds van.
She shrewdly countered with taking the van, trading it in for near-scrap and using the money to finance a pretty spiffy program car. full power, sun roof, leather interior ... dang she's driving better than I am now!
