Clemson basketball history

For those of you who believe Clemson has never has a basketball history, these coaches were successful at Clemson. Basketball hes produced great players like Tree Rollins, Skip Wise, Larry Nance, Horace and Harvey Grant, Dale Davis, Terrell McIntyre, Elden Campbell, Sharone Wright, Trevor Booker and Will Solomon. It has been great at times and we do not need to forget what has been but need to demand that it returns to this level or better.

The most amazing stat out of all of this is Brownell has the highest win % in the conference compared to the other coaches.

Some of those players from the 70s-80s you listed got Clemson on probation for taking cash

And a reputation for being one of the dirtiest programs in the country. Not worth it.

Tournament History - as you can see below it was much harder for some of the earlier coaches to get into post season tournaments than it is now.
53-74 only 25 teams played in the NCAA tournament 74- increased to 32 teams 70 increased to 40 teams 80 increased to 48 83 increased to 53 85 increased to 64 01 increased to 65 08 increased to 68

How did you come to that conclusion? What are you using to make that assumption and excuse? That could be the case, but I don't see how you would know that as fact.

Moving forward

To me, I guess it doesn't matter how we've done in the past.
It matters to me that we seem to be stuck in quicksand in basketball and don't care to fix it.
During the 90s, I heard so many excuses, from "nobody wants to come to a place this Clemson" to "it's in the middle of nowhere," as to why our football program isn't winning titles. Thankfully, Dabo seemingly got rid of all those stupid excuses.
Now we need to do something about our basketball program.
I really believe we can win here, even in basketball. I might be a bit biased, but I truly believe we have everything here to win in basketball as well.

At least in the early going, it doesn't seem that Amanda Butler has bought into the round robin of stupid excuses either. She has, in one year, taken the program from a 5 year stretch of losing seasons to a very competitive basketball team.
The PAW brand, via Dabo, is at its highest level in all of Clemson's athletic history. If ever there was to be a time for all of Clemson athletics to ride that wave, THEN THAT TIME IS NOW!!!!
Don't do it...then opportunity missed.

The history of Clemson Basketball proves that Clemson can win and win regularly. I do not believe we will ever be the top team in the ACC yearly. But I do believe we should be at the top every 3-4 years and in the 68 team NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 years.
