The discussion is around the sustainability of collectives paying $10M a year to maintain a roster.

IPTAY has had over $30M in pledges since 2016. $60M+ the last two years. I’m sure the top 40 programs in the country receive at least $20M+ in contributions each season.

Yes, I know IPTAY can’t pay the bills but the same donors are funding both. Sustaining $10M a season seems like a low bar if these donations are “balanced” effectively.

That is exactly how I see it playing out. You only go as far down the list as needed to meet your goals and limit the overall impact on IPTAY. If we have 22k donors and you can limit the impact to 100 it makes good business sense. Plus you get small inputs from the rest through the normal channels.

Also the IPTAY contributions $137M vs reported contributions for football based on how they are used seem to have plenty of flexibility.
